“Wait, did you see a Jesus shaped like a UFO, or a UFO shaped like Jesus? There’s a difference…” Set in the colourful 1970s, this French retro comedy-drama tells the story of the new head of a real-world department of the French space agency tasked with investigating unidentified flying objects. Didier, the protagonist, gets the job among UFO geeks after a major life failure, but as an ultra-rational scientist, he sets out to turn the workplace upside down. In the end, however, amidst glowing flamingos marching through the office, the knobs of old computers, and the people open to everything, he himself ends up changed. The playful series will excite audiences with its set design, its confident combination of genres, its humour and its theme of personal transformation of a man for whom aliens from outer space are less of a mystery than his fellow humans.
