  13. What is the “industry”?
  1. What is Serial Killer?
  2. Serial Killer is an international festival of TV and web series. It takes place in the local screening rooms in Brno where we show the new European series that have not been in most cases on the TV or the internet yet.

  3. Why should I watch the series in a cinema?
  4. Because we will offer them in the best quality, on the big screen and in the comfort of screening rooms. Moreover, you can enjoy the unique atmosphere and share the experience with the audience, which is impossible at home on a smartphone or PC.

  5. How does it work?
  6. It is the same as going to the movies, but here at the festival, you will see the first two episodes from each series (except "binge-watching" screenings). We are also preparing VOD, which means you will be able to watch the whole series on the internet.

  7. When and where can I visit the festival?
  8. The festival takes place annually in the center of Brno, Czechia. This year we will show you more than 40 screenings from 24th to 29th September 2019 in Scala Cinema, Bolek Polívka Theater and No Art cinema. The locations are just a few minutes’ walk away. Accompanying program will be nearby.

  9. How much does it cost?
  10. Accreditation for the whole festival costs 460 CZK (18 EUR) and for students, seniors and people with disabilities it costs 310 CZK (12 EUR). There is also an option to buy tickets for individual screenings.

  11. What is the difference between ticket and accreditation?
  12. Accreditation (we call it Cinepass) is a permanent pass giving you unlimited entrance to all screenings and priority entrance to the screening rooms.

  13. Where can I buy accreditation?
  14. You can buy the accreditation online or during the festival in the Scala Cinema. If you buy it online, you can pick it up from 24th September in the Scala Cinema. You will need to show a code sent to your email after the purchase.

  15. Do I have to make a reservation of screenings?
  16. No, but we recommend it, so you can be sure you will get into the screening room. You can make reservations only with the accreditation. It is possible to have five screenings reserved at one time.

  17. I don’t like detective stories, is the festival also for me?
  18. Absolutely! The diversity of genres is one of our priorities. Therefore, we choose for you the series across topics and styles. You can look forward to social dramas, political insights or teen comedies. Don’t expect Beverly Hills. This year we will focus (among other things) on Norwegian production, which is now one of the best in the world.

  19. Does the festival offer something more than just watching the series?
  20. Definitely. Most of the series will be introduced by their creators, who will share interesting information about the series production. You will often have an opportunity to ask them own questions. We will also offer accompanying program including parties.

  21. What is the language of the series?
  22. We show all the series in the original language with Czech and English subtitles.

  23. Can I pay at the festival by credit card?
  24. Yes, it will be possible to pay accreditations, tickets and merchandise by credit card.

  25. What is the “industry”?
  26. The industry is a closed program for film and television professionals. It includes panel discussions, case studies, special screenings, lectures and workshops. It takes place from 25th to 26th September.
